Out of date now in many ways, this tome still serves up some good beta. Beware of Thompson's quality ratings, however. Usually correct (or at least close), some highly rated routes are actually very crappy. No bolt counts (fer ya sporties) and really crappy descent-based organization are drawbacks. Info about key gear and bits of history are real plusses. But his attempts at humor grow stale after a while. Bit heavy too.
