One of the lightest half ropes on the market, the Petzl Dragonfly Climbing Rope has 36 of its material in the sheath to give it the durability to stand up to the demands of ice and alpine climbs. This rope uses a single-pick construction to create a tight sheath that keeps out dirt and protect the core. An added dry treatment to the sheath and core keeps this rope from adding water weight in varied mountain environments. A center mark makes for quick half roping and easy management. Ideal for double-rope technique, rope drag is reduced and the margin of safety is increased when using the Drangonfly on a wandering alpine route.
