Preloaded North American City Navigator NT mapping covers all 50 U.S. states and Canada does not cover Mexico. With its lightweight and slim body, rechargeable lithium- on battery and pedestrian navigation capabilities, the nuvi 1250 excels for use either in the car or on foot. Available for select cities, optional cityXplorer content not included can be downloaded from Garmin to help you navigate public buses, trams, subways and light rail. Combined with detailed maps, nuvi provides automatic routing and turn-by-turn voice prompts. High-sensitivity chipset and Hotfix satellite prediction quickly calculate your position. Easily navigate to an address or search millions of destinations such as hotels, restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. nuvi 1250 automatically calculates the fastest route to your destination and quickly recalculates a new route should you stray off course. Compatible with FM traffic services and MSN Direct for the U.S. requires subscription. Where Am I? emergency locator instantly gives exact lat./long., nearest address, intersection, hospital, police station and gas station. Garmin Lock anti-theft feature has both PIN code protection and a security location to unlock features when unit is within 164 ft. of location. Rechargeable lithium ion battery for out-of-car route planning permanent internal memory indefinitely stores data without need for backup battery. Fast USB connectivity makes loading maps, media and points of interest quick and easy. Expandable memory with the addition of microSD cards sold separately lets users open up the world to endless travel possibilities.
