Description

Mountain Hardwears new Phantom 0 sleeping bag features the new alpine mummy cut in a Superlight down bag. At 2lbs 10oz regular, the Phantom 0 weighs about a pound less than other 0F bags. 800-fill down provides excellent insulation, even as temperatures creep into the single digits, while Mountain Hardwears alpine mummy cut brings insulation closer to your body, without uncomfortable restriction. An ergonomic draft collar and down-filled face gasket keep your warmth inside the bag. The Phantom 0 has reduced volume around the head, and room has been added at the elbows and hips for a more comfortable nights sleep.

Excellent Bag 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: gigz5, 2008-06-14

I have been very impressed with this bag. It is very light (2lbs 10oz) for a 0 degree bag, packs down very small, and has excellent thick loft. For me, the 0 degree rating is conservative, I've spent nights out in the open in this bag in temps as low as -12 degrees with perfect comfort (on top of two thermarests, one closed cell and one pro-light 4). The hood is well designed and wraps my head very well and the bag seals up very tight when needed. I have had this bag almost 2 years and the loft is basically the same as when I first got it. I highly recommend this bag.
