Description

A great climbing shoe looks fresh, feels comfortable, and sticks like glue. The Mad Rock Mens Joker is a great climbing shoe. The unlined, low-stretch synthetic upper features a menacing skull graphic that warns gumbies to steer clear of your proj, and the offset laces and padded tongue make for a comfortable yet precise fit. Mad Rock topped it off with a super-sticky Science Friction rubber sole to keep you pasted on the rock until your forearms explode.

great shoes 4 out of 5 stars

These were my first shoes ever. I really like them a lot. they are really comphy and easy to wear for a good long time. I only had a few issues. the laces we a bit too long for what i needed, so i would end up wrapping them under the laces at the bottom of the shoe to keep them out of the way. Also, (and this may be a personal problem) but my feet sweat after a while of wearing them and when they get sweaty they would start to slip on the inside of the shoe, especially when I'm heelhooking. Overall not bad though, i think next time i'm going to go with velcro so i can take them off easier when i am belaying.

Comfortable High Performance Shoe 5 out of 5 stars

Very Comfortable. Runs a bit small. I recommend buying a half size bigger than your street shoe for more comfort or same size for more performance. Overall I love these shoes for the gym, they edge very well. These are the perfect all around/High Performance shoes.

Great shoe that took a long time to break in (several weeks of plastic and rock, 4-5 days a week), but once it did, felt true to its size.
Good thing it's a very durable shoe, 8 months and running, and it has shown acceptable wear. Rubber was a bit slick for the first couple of weeks though.

It's a versatile shoe, I have used it to climb from slab to slightly overhanging (you may want a more technichal shoe for very steep or roof climbing), pretty good at faces, cracks and corners. Comfortable for multi-pitch. Edges great and smears OK, I have slipped off just a couple of times, when they were new.
I would say it's neither stiff nor soft. It feels like right in the middle.
Pull tabs and lacing system work fine.
Heel hooking is great.
bottomline: it's a good deal

Glove like fit and a super sensitive sole make this my favorite shoe for hard routes where precise footwork makes the difference between success or failure. Whether i'm dime smedging on granite or pasting on limestone the Joker kicks ass.
