Description

One of the strongest boulderers in the world, Fred Nicole, calls the Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe absolutely the highest-performance shoe made. That pretty much describes it. This highly asymmetrical shoe features Five Tens Stealth HF rubber and a downturned toe for solid edging and toe-hooking performance in the most horrendous of situations. The Jet 7 Shoe features a synthetic lining to reduce stretch, so they have the same fit out of the box as they will a season later.

I've only used them 10 times so far, but awesome first impression! Crazy sticky and great for grabbing pockets with the toe and solid heel for slopey top outs. Bought one size smaller then anasazis

for the steeps 5 out of 5 stars

the jet7's are my first foray into five ten's high performance shoes. as a longtime muira user, I must say that i am overly impressed with five ten's effort. powerful toe, great rubber, and a heel that promises not to blow. my only initial reservation was the single velcro strap. i was a bit concerned it would not provide adequate support and fit for hard climbing. what i failed to notice, however, was that the bimodal strap can be used to tighten the toe area OR the midsole/heel, which allows the user to up the performance based on specific route demands.

size down 1 or 1.5 sizes from other 5.10 shoes.

125$ is a steal.

Great overall agressive shoe. For me I bought 1 full size below my anasazi velcros. Stretches a little about 1/4 of a shoe size or so. Not so good for slabs and smearing but it wasn't made to do that. It will smear just ok after some use of the shoe. One thing is the green rubber which is on the top of the shoe (for toe hooking) is not very sticky but better then just leather. I assumed it would actually be sticky rubber.
