I've owned two pair. They're great for an all around shoe. I boulder, trad, sport, gym, and top rope in them. Pretty comfortable shoe. I've had this pair a year, while climbing 2 to 3 days a week. Starting show significant wear.

Great shoes! 5 out of 5 stars

Overall they seem well put together and everything seems like it will last a while. My shoes don't have the miles on them yet to tell yet, but I'm confident in them. Got these as an upgrade from a borrowed pair of cheap shoes and I can definitely tell a difference in both grip and comfort. For a beginning pair of shoes even at retail I feel they're well priced. If you can get a deal on them don't pass them up!

Also the straps "issue" of one of the other reviews hasn't been a problem for me at all. The straps are a bit stiff, but it doesn't really have any effect on sticking for me and I wouldn't have really noticed it at all if not for the previous review.

If amazing had a taste, these would be delicious 5 out of 5 stars

I absolutely love my 'tivas. These things work great for indoor and outdoor use. I've mostly used it at gyms, but I've taken them bouldering and outdoors and they have done perfectly. I'm not going to lie, I haven't kept the best care for these shoes (will walk around on them but never farther than 100 yards) and they have stood the test of time, and I have a feeling they'll be good for a long time. The velcro is perfect for easy on/off while still fitting to my foot well. Other than that, this shoe doesn't give too much, but I wasn't really looking for that in a shoe anyway.

I've been wearing my pair for about a year now, and they're just starting to show wear. I'm impressed with the durability of these shoes, I haven't been particularly careful with these shoes, but they've held up very well.

Nothing wrong with these shoes. These are especially great for gym climbing or trad. Easy on and easy off. Mostly I'm impressed with the quality to price ratio. These shoes cost as much or less than the cheapo fall-apart Defys, but they have thick Sportiva rubber, firm construction, and three velcro straps. My only "complaint" is that the straps are a little stiff and so they don't stick as well as they could. Regardless, this has not become a problem. In the low price all round shoe catagory these get a 5.
