Rock Climbing Photos : Alpine : Second accent?

Second accent?

Second accent?

Did we get the second accent of this thing? The only other evidence of climbers setting foot on this route was some circa 1980's tat we found on the top of pitch 4, and the cord at the top you see here. The climb was first done in 1968, and This must have been left behind buy the first accent party. It’s so old one end had fallen of and was laying in a rotten heap at the base, it went “crunch” when you moved it and had lichen growing on it! We couldn’t even decide if it was hemp or nylon. All I can say is if anyone had been up there in the past 20 years and chose to rap off this junk they’d have to be Fn’ nuts!
