On the summit of Banner. A very easy climb with an incredible view from the top.

First 14er, solo, in winter, on skis both ways. After the bad weather of summer kept running me off, I tried a different time of year. Great route!

Trying different views as the instructors of my NOLS course check to see if the group can follow over this pass in order to continue on to the base of Mount Fafnir.

The sky smiled on Rob and I at that moment. We knew it was going to be a good day.

This is a self portrait I took on a solo trip up a remote peak to the east of Y Mountain(near Provo, Utah.) Done mostly at night by the full moon, I slept a few hours a couple hundred yards below summit before reaching the top for sunrise. A memorable trip, and right in my backyard!

Honestly I was expecting something more than a high school journal. Oh well, it was worth the trip, if not for the book, for the view!

After 4 hours and 19 pitches we finally reached the sunny summit and the fog started to disappear!
