I took this picture using a 25 second exposure during a full moon, from the BLM Climber's Campground known as The Pit. A beautiful setting at the right time. This photo was taken at about 11:30pm. Photo by-Chris Morrison(boulderingmadman) using an old Olympus OM10

Magical and mysterious place!
The majority of the Meteora rocks towers are very difficult to tackle.

Was anyone else in the valley that special day in late July, 2001? There was a amazing double rainbow over Half Dome just before dusk. Shown here from Sentinel Bridge. Photo beta is Kodachrome 100, 28mm, Minolta X-700. Photo by Dirk Peters.

This was one of several high points on our trek through the Pyrénées. Though you barely make it out on the photo, there is a path in the cliffs on the right side of the chasm. The pathway was carved out of the limestone by convicts under the orders of the French king in the 1700's. The idea was to access a forest which would provide trees to make masts for the royal fleet.

This is more of a scenic type photo. But if it's summer time and your hot you can allways jump in and cool off!

I just wanted to submit a photo of my little buddy whom I lost a couple of days ago to Valley Fever. This is Dusty in Zion National Park in October. He and I went on a little climbing/visit-the-west road trip, but he got really sick in Moab and I had to rush home . . . this was the last time he seemed okay. Anyone who knows me knows I don't go far without the Beast. Hug your doggies, folks.

PLEASE COMMENT BEFORE VOTING. This is one of the routes recently made more climbable by the 2002 Qunicy Quarries improvements. Eric made it look easy on TR here. Photo by Deb Fraser.

This is taken from the air, just as we are about to descend to Krabi Int'n Airport. We just happened to look out the window, and there it was, gorgeous!

This year's pseudo winter has allowed for some good climbing days in the willamette valley. This is a nice shot of the mossy Garden.

Lincoln Westfall soaking in the beauty of Horseshoe Bend. Is this awesome or what?! This shot was taken by my best bud Dave Dixon on August 7, 1999 during our wild 10-day 5000-mile road trip from our homes in Nashville, Tennessee out through all the big parks out in Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, and back.
This is my favorite shot from the trip. It's Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River, just a 1/2 mile or so hike over a desert hill from near mile marker 545 right by Page, Arizona before hitting the Utah border at Glen Canyon dam. Just some moderate bouldering, but the views were unforgettable! (And if you saw some other pics you’d see my sure footing a bit shaken by the wind and the free fall below. :) )
My sister Desiree is the real climber in the family - her recent photo from pinscar is still near the top of the ratings for photos from the last three months! Love ya Des! :)
Peace, safe & pleasant climbing and a Happy New Year to all of you!

This is one of my favourite photos of the "Tucson Hotties", Andria at top, Hillary beneath.
We hurriedly captured this image as the sun was setting while climbing at Gates Pass, a bouldering area just west of Tucson, Arizona. Andria was killed while riding her bike on December 22, 2002. I've shared a few photos and stories of Andria here and here and here. I love this photo because the girls are so recognizable, and because of the contrasts in their physiques. Andria - powerful and athletic; Hillary - slender and lithe. Hillary and Andria were best of friends, one ideally complementing the other.

This is a work I did in Photoshop 6.0. It's an airbrushing of my friend Adam (looking off a picture taken by dbrayack). The rock was made in photoshop using the cloud/diff. cloud filter, lighting affects, and adjustments. Adam and his gear/rope/draws/bolts/etc are 100% airbrushed.
