One of the most recognizable symbols of the Shawangunks is the Tower at Skytop. Regrettably climbers can not access Skytop at this time because of private ownership of the land by the Mohonk Mountain House. I took this shot after a day of climbing some classics and going for a dip in the lake.

On the hike down, the trail crossed a creek and I found this very interesting Ice formation. I'm not very happy with the scan quality, the real picture looks much better!

How about that for a sunset??? This picture was taken from the roadside at Camp 4. I'm definitely not the only one with a picture like this because at the time it seemed like the whole of camp 4 was on the road snapping away ;-)
