It was to cold to swim so I did the next best thing, take pictures. Since it had rained the day before we got there the water was really gushing and the setting was just extraordinary.

The view of Smith Rock from the top, near the parking area. The obvious columns in the middle is the Dihedral area, the next crag to the left is The Christians Brothers, and the crag to the right of the Dihedrals, with the black dots (huecos) is the Morning Glory Wall. Picture taken during a gorgeous, 70 degree, March 11th, 2004.

Hiking in to Tristan's Tower at about 8AM. It was a lot darker on the way out. 8PM. Probably the last time I'll ever leave my headlamp behind.

This is a pic of the mountain (at the trailhead) near sunset, so I'm sorry the pic isn't very clear. I also don't have very much info about this particular mountain, but I will ask my bf (whose screen name is phreakdigital...he was the former manager for the Oregon routes database). If you have any info, pls feel free to update!

This is a pic of Mike out at Shuttle Lake here in Oregon...I love pictures of people who are taking pictures. Anyways, it doesn't really have anything to do with climbing, but its a beautiful pic.

We've all thought it. "What if that little rock was big enough to climb?" Or, "If I was only small enough to climb this!" This is my attempt at achieving that slightly skewed reality that has wandered in and out of my mind for years. In this particular picture, you all get a personal peek at where my mind wanders as I sit here at my computer doing nothing.
We can always dream.
This one is a work in progress. Eventually I planned to have a friend or two sitting around watching, and camp set up next to the mouse, but I lost motivation, so maybe it's stuck like this. We'll see.

The Stockhorn (2,190 m) is a small summit located over the small village of Erlenbach, in the Berner Oberland. Many of its faces are bolted for sport climbing. The east face provides some nice limestone multipitch climb. February 2004. Minolta 600Si + T-Max 400asa. Photo by Thomas Ribière.
