This is my brother Jesse working on the arete of Neanderthal Man at the Warm Up Area of Joes. It is a fun line with a little of a squeeze job exit between the boulders that form the cave.

This is kinda the crux of a traveres in Little Cottonwood Canyon. There are a bunch of those drilled holes which makes for a good warm up.

This face is really cool, even though it has a bunch of drill holes in it. This traveres goes across the bottom from right to left.

I love huecos, and this small face has a few nice ones on it. I also love short approaches, and this is an easy pads toss away from the road.

Now I have gotten shut down on two classic Hulks! Here and in Bishop, although I think this one is a little stiffer. The undercling slot Nate is reaching for is really small. The unlikely combination of long arms and really small fingers would help a lot.

This is one of the many fun V4s in the forest. Layback up some sloping basalt dike holds, stick the finger bucket and finish on jugs.

On a nice sunny summer day in late August what is more beautiful than find a beautiful boulder like this an try some routes on it. Ailefroide has it all from bouldering to sportclimbing to 20 pitch routes.....
