Found this great problem atop apex mountain in Colorado. Perfect pinches all the way to a massive jug. Finish with a dyno to small rail and mantel. Id say It was in the v3 range.

Matt Wrigley on his "Pretty Hate Machine". It's a V14 which consists of over 30 moves on a horizontal roof, and then tops out of Hollow Mountain Cave in the Grampians, Australia. And yes, it's harder than Klem Loskot's famous V14 "Cave Rave" which lives in the same cave. Photo: L Skidmore, Sony Digital.

One of the first routes I ever sent in the gym. I'm really starting to like bouldering.

Saturday AMs my sons and I hit the gym for a little bouldering and climbing. Here's Austin (Age 7) working a problem he made up. Such determination in his face. I love it!

The entrance to the famous Hollow Mountain Cave (home to at least two V14's). Walk up the tourist track from the Hollow Mtn carpark, when you hit the rock turn left and climb the tourist track up the rock gully and onto the rocky slab. When below the bright orange vertical wall walk right for a few hundred metres and duck into the depths of the cave.

...climbing one more random problem on the thousands of "lost" boulders in the Chattanooga area. i still think the SouthEast has the best quality sandstone bouldering in the world... less polished than Fontainebleau.. WAY more solid than anything out west.

Here is Tim Hinck on this hidden classic near "Campus Punks". The dazzling red sunset behind me made for a great effect in this self-potrait shot.

This is one of the unnamed classics near "The Orb". It is a fantastic problem that involves lots of hauling out the roof, and then this tricky sloper-mantle. Here is Jared McAlpin on this classic.
