This one usually comes in for a while each winter. Watch out for warm days though it falls down several times each year.

This is my brother soloing the WI3 Silverplume in lean springtime conditions. The ice had the consistency of styrofoam, and screws wouldn't have held a fall anyway. This is usually a solid wide curtain of ice.

This is definitely the most crowded ice climb I have ever seen. The slide was shot in january 2001, when due to the very mild winter, Tamar was one of the few ice climbing areas in Slovenia with some climable ice.

A busy day on Lincoln Falls near Breckenridge in Colorado. There were at least 15 people up there on 12/02/2001 - it sure wasn't this crowded when I started ice climbing 8 years ago.

This is the Terminator Pillar WI4 in Spearfish Canyon, Black Hills SD. It is the hardest ice route n the hills, and would be famous if it were only longer. Good sustained vertical ice climbing for 60 feet.

This is Bridalveil Falls in Spearfish Canyon, Black Hills SD. It is 120 feet long and WI3ish, depending on conditions. An excellent moderate climb in full view of a scenic highway-you wil attract a crowd on this one.
