3 out of 5 stars wow, is that a camera trick or is it really that dangerous-looking?

Nice "little hop". What then would require a hop skip and a jump?

that's a pretty ballsy leap. In E. Germany they have ratings. Wonder what rating this jump would be?

Nope, not a camera trick at all! The bottom is a good 200+ feet from the leaper. Out of frame to the left, on either side, are some bolts and studs from an old highline. There's also a memorial plaque for someone on the small outcrop above and behind the jumper.

A moab rescue guy I met at a party 10 years ago told me about a case where someone made the jump but had too much momentum and went off the other side.

He said that there were blood streaks down the rock where he tried to claw back up. I have no clue if that story is true.

I've done this jump. Bloody scary. They're is a gainor on the other side that is almost scarier though. Those aren't old bolts for a highline...It has been set several times I've been there.
