Locking Girth Hitch

Locking Girth Hitch

A demonstration of the Locking Girth Hitch. Locking is somewhat of a misnomer as it is far less secure than than the dual clove hitch method. It is, however, much faster and easier to rig with one hand, making it a handy way to secure a multidirectional first placement at a tough stance. The runner goes from the biner of the first piece, through the biner of the second, around and through the runner, and again through the biner of the second piece. Pull tight, clip and go.
