Newb-on-the-Daddy

This might possibly be my most favorite climb to date. This is the top-out of The Daddy (5.7, 5/6 pitches) in the Linville Gorge Wilderness. Brian here is pictured trying to climb up through the final 20 feet and through the resulting top-out. The top-out is quite tricky after climbing 5/6 pitches for almost 4 hours. It's a slopey ledge with nothing pronounced on it. You just have to get your hands up there and work your feet up high enough so you might mantle a little bit more every step.
