Coincidentally in the middle of this sleeping bag pictorial contest we had an ice storm. About an inch of ice came down on Thursday night covering everything. We lost power, along with about 200,000 other homes. With the high temperatures hovering just below freezing and nightly temperatures falling into the single digits, my only concern has been to keep my two-year old daughter warm. Lemmie tell you how much fun it is to do with only ONE sleeping bag. She's just the right height to kick me in the most unpleasant fashion when she squirms around. And being two, she squirms a lot. I am sure that she slept well last night, but I was awaken more than once. Last night's low was 3° and though we were both warm, I had no room to myself. So far, there has been nothing like this home-camping experience! We're making smores over the backpacking stove in 10 minutes and the group sing-along will be happening at noon! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
