The first step is the hardest

This is me just starting up Black Elk. It's an awesome route on stellar rock. The best thing about the routes at Ruth Lake is the location. At almost 11,000' on rock overlooking a mountain lake, this crag (and route) should be added to your summertime "must do" list.
