On the plumb-line 5.9 finger crack/corner called No Heroes. In this case, however, we're heading for the first ascent of Bonsaļ, a second pitch A2 variant left of the obvious cedar tree. Myself climbing, Souren Beylerian photo.

This photo of me was snapped by my climbing partner Fred Reeves back in July of '97. If you climb here at this time of year be sure and bring extra water. I almost dehydrated!

Myself seconding Jake Kosker (photographer) on the classic "What's My Line" (5.6 A0) at Cochise Stronghold, Az. Despite the ease of the climb, it was an experience not to be forgotten. There is nothing like slinging a granite chicken head for protection. Anyone's trip to Arizona is not complete without climbing this marvelous route.

Black Velvet Canyon, Dream of wild Turkeys is a awesome climb that follows a crack to the right of Prince of Darkness. Has to be one of my favorite climbs. Photo by Tpazol

Another of Buzz Rock's I'd-rather-top-rope-it trad routes: nice cracks at the bottom, but no pro for the top half. Simon Villeneuve climbing, myself photo belaying.

Fun/weird flaring 5.7+ chimney. Odd to protect, gets a little 'interesting' going over the roof. 2nd lead at jtree - very fun.

Probably the most photographed route on the escarpment, and a good one too! Follows a steep corner that takes you out over the treetops to a spectacular situation (that is if you can manage the crux 5.7-ish move off the ground). In the background are the Ottawa Valley lowlands - you can just make out the river on the right. Photo: Yann Troutet

"Salt N Pepper" 5.7 on MInkey Wall in Welsford, NB. It's a very nice climb. Hard for those just getting into the 5.7/5.8 range, but still great. What you are seeing in the photo is the 2nd half of the climb.

One of the easiest at the Gallery, the route follows a rounded low angle arete. The quality of the rock, the excellent view and the beautiful scenery are the day's rewards. Yann Troutet climbing, Simon Villeneuve behind the camera.

I'm no 5.13 climber, so we tackled Twilight Zone with a full complement of clean aid gear. Perhaps I was a bit off-route, but plenty of old pins and manky fixed heads made for an interesting ascent anyhow. Photo by Eric Bauernschmidt, May 2002.

New Years day, 2003. Hottest day of the year so far. It was my first time at Boxsprinsg and I ran into Matt. He was doing his first trad lead so I had to take a picture, Everyone should have a picture of themselves on their first trad lead. Nice job, Matt!

Lightning Bolt Cracks goes up from where we are to the left. The third pitch is the crack leading out the left side of the large roof. Easier than it first appears.
