hey im living in neckargemund... little i swear hicktown just outisde of heidelberg... i have class until 1300 on friday but then freedom arises after that! haha... if its possible to meet me in heidelberg that would be awesome! i can meet ya just about anywhere there... just let me know if this would work out!

ladies and gents...
looking at the map Pfalz seems to be fairly close to Ramstein Air Base. is it really that close? any idea how far it is and how long it would take to get there from ramstein? method of travel? thanks much.

Indeed, it seems it's only about 45 min from Ramstein. Send a pm to steve-o as he is there too and driving- you may be able to catch a lift.

3 of us from Ramstein? scary.
bad news though, none of the bastards I work with want to cover my shift...7 PM to 7 AM Sat and Sun...worst shift in existance. So I'm thinking I might forgo the whole sleep idea this weekend.
What times are you gonna be meeting there? Or just show up sometime on Saturday and hope for the best? And when on Moday do ya plan on heading out? I work till 7 monday morning, but can catch a few hours sleep and then head out there.
Do I sound crazy and desperate? Must feed the addiction.

No problem, we're all kinda desperate, constantly ;)
Tisar and I will be there Friday in the early afternoon, and it seems Friday will be a day of checking out areas and shuttling people around, so no climbing I assume (which is no problem, as the weather report predicts a bit of rain anyway). On Monday I will leave at around 6pm.

Seems tent reservation is not possible, hee hee :oops:
Just come... Tisar and I will be there earlier on Friday and will try to make sure things go well.
Anyway. The place we're camping at is
Bärenbrunner Hof
about 4km east of the village of Schindhard
(which can be found in Viamichelin.com)
It's an old farm house at the end of Bärenbrunner Tal (valley of Bärenbrunn). This is what it looks like:

i hope all you guys and girls had a great time. I was sitting in the airport waiting on a flight to Ramstein for like 18 hours. After the third time the plane "broke", I saw a flight for Rota, Spain and jumped on it. I was tired of sitting in the damn terminal.
I really wanted to meet and climb with all you guys. Maybe next year. Is there any type of gathering in the next two weeks? If so, I'll do my best to be there.
FYI: Climbing in Spain is cool, but make sure you speak spanish. Turns out they never taught me the verb "to belay" in high school or college spanish class.
