About The Cave Area:
Oudtshoorn is about 60km north of George and famous for its ostrich farming history. It is also the venue of the anual KKNK(Klein Karoo Nationale Kunstefees). The scenary is absolutely amazing and this region is definitely worth a visit - and now you can combine it with some climbing. The crag is on private land and the access is very sensitive. Please check the access situation with the De Hoek campsite manager on (044) 272-8214. There are plenty of rock art found on the rock and these need to be protected so plan your trips well in advance and with care! If you have a chance go check out the "Swartberg Pass"...it's a monster!!! |
