From Beijing, take Jingsunlu to Miyun (about 45Km).
Turn left at the olympic bridge at Miyun.
Turn left at the end of the road.
Bear right to Beihe.
There is a cheap inn in this area for climbers (Tel: 6905-0237)
Coolday is located at the 3rd tunnel.
In the middle of the 3rd tunnel, there is an opening.
You can even park your car at this opening.
Left crack is Coolday #1(5.11b), right crack is
Coolday #2(5.11c).
First ascent by Hojin Chung and Young Chu.
Since it is located between tunnel, it hardly gets
sun light.
Making it the best area to climb in the summer.
There is one rappel bolt at the base of the rock.
10 meter rappel will take you to lower area of coolday
area.
The first route is High Jump(5.11a) FA:Young Chu & ChunWan Jin involving big lunge at the 2nd bolt.
2nd route is an A1 aid climb invoving huge roof with good
bolts.
There are few more climbs on the left wall on the way down,
First one is a long face climb (5.9)
Next is a very technical 5.10c face
3rd route is Nice View (5.8)
Last one (lowest part of the wall) is Big Pocket (5.10a)
with big pocket in the middle FA:Young Chu & ChunWan Jin
