悬羊擂鼓 (The Sheepskin Drum)
About 悬羊擂鼓 (The Sheepskin Drum):
| This section consists of a handful of trad climbs near the arete at the right end of the rock face that includes the Guoliang tunnel. One of the climbs goes all the way up; it is possible that others could be extended. The bottom of the routes consists of extremely wide cracks, and any belaying for the first pitch has to be done from the bushes to some degree. |
| Approach: | As these routes are infrequently climbed, getting to them requires some bushwacking. There is a path off of the top hairpin below the Guoliang tunnel. The beginning of the path is difficult to find, but once on it, the correct path should be solid stone. This will lead to about 100 meters directly below the cliffs. This last 100 meters has to be bushwacked. |
| Approach Time: | 1 hour from Guoliang |
| Latitude, Longitude: | |
| Access Issues: | No restrictions on climbing. There are park officials along the approach path checking entrance tickets. The approach path is tedious. |
