About Srisailam:
| Located Kurnool district, in Nallamalla hills, 200 kms south of Hyderabad. Famous for it's temple town, eponomously named, and a Hydro-Electric dam. River Krishna runs through the hills. Possibly also a great place for white water. But the hills, when drenched in sun, look beautiful. Plenty of historical places around. AP tourism board conducts some trekking and climbing programs. But don't think very actively. Forests of Nallamalla teem with Naxalites. |
