About Sengokuiwa:

A small pinnacle of rock hidden away in the forest, but easily accessible using public transport. Some of the routes are bolted and a few can be top-roped. New bolting is prohibited and a rack is recommended for a few routes. Some of the bolts are decidedly substandard.
Nearest town or city: Oujiyama, Shiga-ken
Directions: Leaving the station, head east through the large park and up the hill past the public swimming pool. Keep going up the hill over a small stream and footbridge, keep to the right as you go past the shrine and follow the path to the left. 30 to 40 mins of hiking along the woodland path, following the signs brings you to a clearing with a small exposed pinnacle of rock.
