About Nodake:

On Nodake, the Mountain above Omura, 1.5 hours north of Nagasaki There are about 55 routes (mostly sport climbing, very few trad), ranging from 5.9 to 5.12+, it can get crowded at the weekends and national holidays. It catches the sun pretty well, and much of it is still climbable if it is raining, which is quite cool.
Nearest town or city: Nagasaki/ Omura
Directions: Go to Omura by car. At the northern end of Omura is a road to Omura-wan country club which is the Number 6, follow this road, it will take you to Nodake. After about 2 km there is a big turning to the right, dont take this one. there will be a kind of park thing on your right after about a km, then after 300 mtrs another right, take that one, follow the road, it winds around some fields, take the next left and follow the road as it gets smaller, it is a few kms, and there is a right turn to a cow park or something, keep straight on until you see the cliffs on your left. There is a small amount of parking at the side of the road.
