About Slab:

There are at least two bolted routes in Wadi Rum, on a black slab opposite Lawrence’s House. On the same slab are also two more belays for trad routes. Routes: The left route may be 5.8. The first 4 bolts are on a granite slab with small ledges and fingerholes, and the first bolt is about 4m high up. After the fourth bolt the route gets easier on red sandstone with good holds. The right route looks more difficult (5.9?) and starts in an overhang also with a high first bolt (also about 4m).
Approach: The slab is in two-hour walking distance from Wadi Rum village, two Wadis east of the village, directly to the north-east of the sightseeing spot of Lawrence’s house (and facing it). A Jeep would cost around 15 JD each way.
Approach Time: 2:00 walking
