The Cat Wall is located in Wadi Haniifa, about one kilometer north of the Mecca Road, on the small escarpment directly below the DQ (Diplomatic Quarter). Some rough dirt tracks lead a few hundred meters from the Haniifa Road to the base of the wall. Because of the location, climber's are likely to be chased off, questioned, and possibly taken into custody by security patrols.
Before 9/11 this was the busiest wall in the Kingdom.
The climbs are 15 to 30m long, but most climbers stop at the midway ledge where toprope anchors can be rigged from natural features and a couple of bolts.
To descend, traverse well left along the midway ledge to a gulley.
