About Khao Jeen Lair:

Discoverd by a German guy called Peter. This 200m limestone face with super potential was developed by David Estey, Jean Jacque Braun, Simon Foley, Chris Sandocal, Chai Kornpradit, K Senee, Benoit Grasser and one or two others. The first routes were bolted in April 2000 by David and Simon. There are four areas called Temple,Monkey Gym,Bat cave , Secret garden and Easter Island areas. Recommend period to climb is between Nov to Jan because of attractive view of sunflower field around the area. Today, there are more than 40 routes in the Khao Jeen Lair area. And there are more routes being bolted. When you approach the cliff, it is neccessary to access via a temple. The temple is a place of worship, so please act accordingly. The monks have been extremely nice to us climbers. The only request they have made is that climbers going to the cliff come by and say hello, and again when they leave so they know that you are safe. There is a book to sign in about the usage of the area on the way up to the crag. Please stop to read and follow what it says.
