About Morialta:

The most popular outdoor climbing venue in the Adelaide area, Morialta is situated in the Adelaide Hills only 20 minutes from the centre of the city. Since the initial development of the area in the 1960's, the concentration of quality climbs has led to Morialta becoming the centre of Adelaide climbing. Most routes in Morialta are less than 20m in height. Fixed protection is not commonplace, although many of the harder routes are equipped with bolts at the crux if natural protection is unavailable. In many of the areas, chains or bollards have been installed to facilitate top-roping. Loose rock is present in most of the areas in Morialta. With the increased presence of climbers, including instructional groups, rockfall is not uncommon.
