Bushranger Bluff
About Bushranger Bluff:
There are two main areas to Bushranger Bluff, so named because in the 19th century it was allegedly the hide out of Captain Melville. The two areas are the Main Wall, as you come in, and the Back Wall, funny enough, around the back. The main wall is where many a cilmbing instructional group will end up as there are a bunch of easy climbs right next to each other. The back wall is pretty lame, especially considering all the nice climbing and rock that can be found just up the road. Unless you are a beginner yourself, you may want to leave this area alone. There are 6 starred climbs, however I personally wouldn't rave about any of them (maybe Repo Man, that looks pretty cool, but otherwise it's pretty lame). The back wall in particular is pretty ordinary. |
