Description:

A wandering route on the slabby face between Escalade and Sword in the Stone. Follow the thin crack and protect as best you can. As you get higher you can protect in Sword in the Stone crack. Continue through the bulge on good holds but little pro. Because of the subtle pro and run out nature of this line, there is ground fall potential. The middle of the route is run out, but a bomber nut can be placed right before this section. An additional placement can still be made in SitS, if desired. Continue straight up and right of the Escalade belay station, to the ledge. Downgraded from a 19 to a 17, with adequate pro.

Actually a really good route! I just had to figure out what pro fits the best at the start (nuts).

sbaclimber and I yo-yo'd this one so the first few pieces of pro were in for me. It's an interesting line. My first 19 trad line.

I got spat off on my lead attempt, after I realised about half-way up that there was no more pro to be had on the face, and I had nothing to put in Sword in the Stone. Kudos to Gary for finishing the route.
