About Manawatu Gorge:
| Located 20 minutes southeast of Palmerston North City in the lower central North Island. The gorge is Palmerston North"s closest rock climbing venue. Most of the rock is either unexplored or choss.... though a few jems have been found and shown some love. The potential for more good stuff is huge but MUCH more time, effort and money needs to be invested. If you find yourself trapped in good ol' Palmy for awhile.... do your duty and go explore, it beats sitting on the couch! |
