| 10 areas, 200+ problems as of July 05, stunningly beautiful landscape, scary seals, and lots of steep-steep-steep bouldering. Don't leave anything of value (ie, stereo, meat pies, lip gloss) in your car at the carpark. Immobilize your steering column if possible. |

| Directions: | From Wellington, drive towards the Hutt, taking the Petone exit. Drive down the Esplanade, following the signs for Wainuiomata at the roundabouts near Seaview. Drive over the hill and through Wainui onto the Wainuiomata Coast Road. Park at the end of the PUBLIC road, and walk down the private road, crossing the bridge and following the DoC signs east towards the boulder-covered point. Access is via a covenant with private property owners. Please observe all signs and stick to the seaward side of the fence. Walking times range from 30 minutes to the nearest (Wavelength) boulder, and 1.5 hours to the Styx. |
