About Blackingstone Rock(OS):

This rock and its neighbor Hel Tor (SX 799 870) have about 15 routes from DIFF to VS, up to 100 feet long, on north facing slabs and faces. At about 1000 feet, this is not the place to be on a cold, windy day, but on a warm day, the cooler aspect and unparalleled views towards the River Teign can't be beat.
Nearest town or city: Moretonhampstead
Directions: OS 191 GR SX 786 855 Alt. 343m
2.5 miles ESE of Moretonhampstead. Take the B3212 towards Exeter up the steep, winding road. After two miles, turn right towards Bridford. The road will steepen after a mile, and just over the top of the pass, the tor and crag will be seen on the right.
