About Dove Crag(OS):
Northeast facing and seriously overhanging. About 30 routes, 100 to 250 feet long, Diff to E6, but at least half are E4 and above. Many three-star routes here, but its shady aspect needs a good dry spell. If it rains while you are here though, you probably won't get wet!

Directions: | OS 90 -- GR NY 375 110 Alt. 695m 3.3 miles SSW of Patterdale. Take the A592 south for three miles to the pub on the right at Brother's Water. Follow the track west across the valley for 500 yards, then left and up the footpath leading diagonally through the forest. Continue on around left to the head of the valley and Dove Crag should be quite obvious. About a 45 minute walk.
