Head up the valley to the north, after half a mile, Yew Crags can be seen up to the right, and after one mile, Heron Crag can be seen on the left side of the valley. Continue on and after 2 miles, follow the main river to the left and start uphill. After two more miles, the path levels out in a fantastic valley, where the crag Cam Spout will be seen up to the left. Walk one more mile up the valley to the crag which is straight in front of you. At least two hours without rests, and the valley floor can be very wet.
