About Goat Crag (OS):

The only significant crag on the west side of the Borrowdale Valley. There are some classic hard routes here, but none much harder than E3. There are also many small buttresses surrounding the area, with plenty of routes in the VS to E1 range. The main crag is over 300 feet high, and is quite imposing when you are up on it. Keep it for those really hot summer days.
Nearest town or city: Grange
Directions: OS 89&90 GR NY 245 165 Alt. 369m
Three-quarters of a mile SSW of Grange. The crag is to the south on the side of the valley. Follow the track going south from the village, and a path will head up the side of the valley to the crag in about ten minutes.
