About Lazonby (OS):
A spectacular escarpment of sandstone running along the west side of the River Eden. 100 to 300 foot high buttresses, with about 50 routes in all grades. The rock is quite soft here (desert-like) and though one can lead, it may be wiser to top rope where you can. Really a spectacular crag and well worth seeing. |
