About Ravens Scar (OS):
One of the best outcrops in the area. The crag is sandstone and somewhat mossy in appearance. It is north facing and takes a few days to dry after rain, but in the summer during a dry spell it gives superb routes in all grades up to E3. About 70 routes up to 60 feet long, with the best routes in the harder grades.
