About Ravenstones (OS):

Some very good gritstone offering excellent climbing in the lower grades up to VS. Good for beginners, with about 100 well protected climbs, 30 to 60 feet long, in a nice position. Worth a visit on a nice, long summer day. Frigid in the winter. |

| Directions: | OS 110 GR SE 036 048 Alt. 443m 7 miles east of Oldham. Take the A635 through Greenfield, one mile to the car park at Dovestones reservoir. Walk up past the two smaller reservoirs into the top valley. After about 40 minutes, the crag on your right will be Ravenstones. |
