About Staden Quarry (OS):

VISIT AND SEEK PERMISSION FROM MR. MORTON TO CLIMB IN THESE PRIVATELY OWNED QUARRIES
This access arrangement has been agreed upon by the BMC. About 60 routes in the upper quarry, and 15 in the lower quarry, up to 60 feet long on some pretty steep limestone. Routes are VS to E2, and a few desparates thrown in for good measure.
Nearest town or city: Buxton
Directions: OS 119 GR 080 723 Alt. 313m
1 mile east of Buxton. Take the A6 under two railway bridges, and in 200 yards follow a track on the right up to Cowdale Hall. Visit and seek permission from Mr. Morton to climb in the quarries.
