Description:
Located on La Maladiere, Indiana Jaune is one of the classics int he area. A sustained beginning with spectacular view of the valley the whole way through. Indiana Jaune goes at 6b+ (5.10d) and takes approximately nine pitches. The first four pitches are by far the hardest. The middle section of the climb is a bit easier going at 5/5+ (5.6/5.7). After pitch six, Indiana Jaune crosses Vadre retro Satanas (7a) before traversing right into an overhanging chimney. Then making your way back on to the face, pitch nine brings you home with another 6b (5.10b/c).Descent Options:
The climb begins by rappelling into the Maladière area. The rappel routs are clearly marked at the top of the cliff. Approximately five pitches of rappel are necessary of double 60 meter rops to get to the cliff base. Because you must rappel in, you are c
