One of the most famous rock climbing challenges of the massif, it offers several routes, starting with a moderate Swiss way, famous aid Bonnatti one that goes around 6c free today, and going up to modern classics such as Voyage by Piola.

Directions: walk south from Aiguille du Midi, down the col, and up the Maudit cirque. Some crevasces and then there you go, you won't miss it.
