About La Cantobre:

La Cantobre is where Petzl held their rock climbing competion in 2004. See the Petzl site for their video of the comp.

It's situated in a beautiful quiet valley about 45 minutes from Millau.

The main feature of the crag is a large overhanging pocketed wall covered with pockets. Most of the routes are hard; there's a 7a+ and a 7b+, some 7c's and a large number of 8s. There are some easy sectors though these are probably most useful for warming up for the main wall. There is also a harder sector, where the men's ultimate route in the competion was located. This was an 8c+/9a and there's some projects bolted too waiting for a first ascent.
