About Riesenstein:

This area has a roped climbing area above the road that has mostly harder routes and a nice sized boulder below the road that has lots of routes ranging from super easy to ridiculously hard. Great boulder!
Nearest town or city: Heidelberg
Directions: For Cars: Drive up the mountain on Steiger Weg in the direction of Speyer Hof. At a sharp right there will be an option of going straight on another road, take it. You should go around the Speyer Hof after 5 minutes of driving. Hug the right side of the building and continue on a small winding road for 3-4 minutes before seeing the first area on your right side with a nice sized parking lot just off the road. To get to the bouldering area just drive you car 100 meters past the first area to a small road that turns off to the left of the main road and has a metal barrier blocking people from driving down it. You can park on the shoulder of the road or in the small parking before the barrier. Once you park walk down the path for 300 meters and you will see it on your left side. Walking: Walking from Bismark you will go on Fredrick-Ebert Anlage right after the tunnel ends for cars. Before starting up the hill you enter a small walking tunnel that brings you to the other side of the road. From here walk up the switchback for 20 minutes before hitting a larger path. On this path you can either go bouldering (left) or go to the roped routes (continue up). If you continue up to the roped section when you get to the road go left and walk for 2 minutes before seeing the climbing on the uphill side of the road. Enjoy!
