About Nordeifel - Nideggen:

Rock is sandstone conglomerate. Some bands of rough sandstone sandwiched between thick layers of pebbles cemented together. Several less than vertical walls, and many overhanging and "stepped" faces. The area is a nature reserve and has severe acces restrictions. Get a day ticket (2.5,- Euro) at the BP gasstation in Nideggen. http://www.speleo.be/ubs/escalade/massif/nideggen.htm
