The Sasso Cavallo is located on the left bank of the Lago di Lecco (which is the SE part of the Lago di Como!), over the small city of Mandello del Lario.
Mountain area, long but simple access (a couple of hours of walk). There's a hut near there, small but interesting. It's possible to sleep at the routes base. |

| Directions: | From Lecco, follow Statal route 36 ( S.S. 36) towards Colico. Then follow for Abbadia Lariana / Mandello. Reach Mandello Lario, then turn right towards Rongio. From Rongio, follow the path for Elisa hut (path nr. 14). Then follow for Valle Cassina. You will then reach the wall. 2 hours ( may be 3) from the parking. |
